What is my passion?

Clare Sim

Some people say, "But i don't have a dream. I don't have a passion, I don't know what i want". And that is perfectly understandable for those of us whose whole lives have been fulfilling the expectations of others, or walking the path well-travelled. It seems so scary and impossible to think of what we want for ourselves.

The truth of the matter is, we will never know what we want until we decide to step out and experience as many different things as possible. take the time to talk to different people, try different activities, and most importantly, be patient with yourself. Uncertainty comes with opportunity; it may be a challenge to handle but take heart as it is a sign that we are stepping out of our comfort zones. This necessarily means we are exploring the possibilities beyond the 'safe' sphere of our current lives. Let go of the fear of making a wrong choice - there are no right or wrong choices, there are simply options. Let go of the fear of not having immediate results - if you find that you dont like an option you chose, you can always change your mind and try something else.
