Strawberry Chocolate Chia Pudding


My lovely mum bought a box of strawberries at my request (thank you Mum!). Since I impulsively bought a new blender recently on sale, and I have so many packets of chia seeds...

I made strawberry chocolate chia pudding! Inspired by Rachel (who won Health Blogger of the Year 2016 at her delicious site here). I honestly don't know how she comes up with so many recipes for smoothies and breakfast bowls. She's amazing!

If you enjoy healthy meals AND guilty pleasures at the same time, then this is perfect! Strawberry chocolate recipes satisfies BOTH categories at once ;) There is NO sugar in this recipe and the chocolate chips add that delicious edge to the pudding.

Don't you just love recipes when you can throw everything in the blender to make a simple meal? I like my DIYs hassle-free and quick. The photo below shows how I've thrown everything in, before blending. You can prepare this yummy healthy dessert / breakfast in 15 minutes with this simple recipe!

Strawberry Chocolate Chia Pudding Recipe

makes 600ml (or about 2.5 cups)

Add all into blender and blend:

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup Greek yogurt

5 fresh strawberries, washed (add more if desired)

1/3 cup unsweetened chocolate chips

1 tsp cocoa powder (optional)

3/4 cup milk

1 tbsp chia seeds

Refrigerate overnight. Garnish with fresh slices of strawberries before serving. You may choose to portion it out in glass jars as a surprise treat for your friends like in the photos :D
